With over 20 years of distinguished service in the legal profession, Ms. Malimali is a formidable criminal lawyer and a staunch advocate for justice. Her expertise spans family law, children’s rights, appellate advocacy, and advancing access to justice for indigenous communities.
Ms. Malimali’s legal career began in 1997, during which she held influential positions across Government Ministries, Statutory Bodies, and Private Companies. In 2010, she established her own law firm, cementing her reputation as a leading force in the legal field.
She played a pivotal role in legal education at the University of the South Pacific, where she mentored and shaped future legal minds from 2006 to 2024.
Beyond the courtroom, she served as Chair of the Electoral Commission from July 2023 to September 2024. On September 5, 2024, she was appointed Commissioner of FICAC, leading the fight for transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
