Message from the Commisioner

Welcome to the Homepage of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

It was indeed a great honor for me when I took up the role of FICAC Commissioner on September 5, 2024 - the first-ever female to do so, since the Commission was established in 2007.

FICAC has played an integral role in effectively promoting transparency and accountability, setting the foundation for good governance, whilst creating sustainable development for all Fijians.

The Commission stands on the fundamental values of honesty and integrity.

We believe that by appealing to the hearts and emotions of the people, in particular, public servants, we can change their attitudes and their approaches to the work they carry out, thus help eliminate corruption.

This website is dedicated to informing the public about the work that FICAC has done and continues to do in fulfilling our mission to effectively combat corruption and promote transparency and accountability, thus, setting the foundation for good governance and create sustainable development for all Fijians.

A lot of changes have taken place within the Commission, as marked by the five-year Strategic Plan that was launched on 14 February, 2024.

This plan is not just a document but a testament to our dedication to foster a culture of ethical governance and building a nation where integrity is the cornerstone of progress.

We at FICAC once again call on the people of Fiji – from government ministries, civil society to private sector partners to the public at large – let us work together to create a society where the principles of honesty, integrity and accountability guide our every action.
