A former Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer, Losevati Muailasekula Cokanasiga, has been charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) with one count of bribery, contrary to Section 4(2) of the Prevention of Bribery Act 2007.
Cokanasiga appeared before the Nasinu Magistrates Court yesterday, Tuesday, 6 May 2025.

Junior State Counsel Ms Lanieta More informed the Court that the first phase of disclosures has been served.
Resident Magistrate Mr. Savou granted a non-cash bail of $1,000 and ordered the accused not to re-offend while on bail, not to interfere with prosecution witnesses, and to surrender all travel documents. Other bail conditions include reporting to the FICAC Office on a monthly basis, beginning 9 May 2025.
The matter has been adjourned to 14 May 2025.
