2025 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY MESSAGE - COMMISSIONER FICAC

The Office of the Commissioner extends its best wishes to all women in Fiji and all over the world on the global celebration, that is International Women’s Day.

March 8th is a day that reminds us of the contributions that women make to society and the challenges they continue to face.

The theme for this year is “#AccelerateAction”, a world-wide call for more swift and decisive steps towards achieving gender equality.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) recognizes the vital role that women play in the fight against corruption, with many women holding leading roles in key integrity institutions, not only in Fiji, but across the Pacific as well.

As one of those women and the first female Commissioner of FICAC, I believe women have a vital role in fostering transparency and enhancing accountability as well as bring unique perspective and leadership that drive effective and inclusive solutions.

As we strive to empower women and driving gender equality, we can strengthen our collective ability to uphold accountability and transparency.
