The National Fire Authority (NFA) has been commended for its dedication, patience and unwavering commitment to the principles of good governance.
Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) Manager Corruption Ms Kolora Naliva-Celua shared this in her closing remarks at the conclusion of the three-day Corruption Risk Assessment & Management (CRAM) workshop in Suva this afternoon.
Ms Naliva-Celua says through the CRAM workshop, the officers would have explored the multifaceted nature of corruption risks as well as effective strategies for risk assessment, in particular, discussions on practical tools for managing and mitigating corruption risks within the NFA.
She adds the NFA’s active participation, thoughtful contributions and willingness to engage in critical discussions over the past three days has been truly inspiring.
The Manager Corruption Prevention shared her hopes that the participants leave the CRAM workshop with a renewed sense of purpose and stronger commitment to fostering transparency, accountability and integrity within their respective spheres of influence.
In congratulating the officers, Ms Naliva-Celua says the fight against corruption is not an easy one, but together, we have the power to create lasting change.
She urged the officers to carry forward the lessons learned and hopes that the two institutions will continue to collaborate, share best practices and support one another in efforts to built a more just and equitable society.
To close the workshop, the NFA officers were then presented with their Certificates of Participation by FICAC Acting Deputy Commissioner, Mr Lisiate Fotofili.
