Bansod Pleads Guilty To The Amended Charge

The former Chief Executive Officer, Mr Anirudha Bansod pled guilty to the amended charge of Abuse of Office on Wednesday, 29 May 2024.
Anirudha Bansod was initially charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) on 22 August 2023 with a one count of Abuse of Office and one count of General Dishonesty – Causing a Loss.
Per the amended charge filed on 29 May 2024, between 1 August 2022 and 31 December 2022, Anirudha Bansod whilst being employed in the civil service as the Chief Executive Officer of Post Fiji Pte Limited (PFPL) provided false Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest Declaration for the tender of the Design, Development and Implementation of the Post Fiji Mobile Application and breached the confidentiality of the tender procedure, which were acts prejudicial to the rights of Post Fiji Pte Limited.
The matter has been adjourned to 7 June 2024 to finalize the Summary of Facts.
