FICAC Officers facilitate Anti-Corruption Workshop in Vanuatu

Assistant Manager Investigations, Mr. Alivereti Wakanivesi, and Principal Corruption Prevention Officer, Ms. Banuve Wainimala, recently facilitated a two-day anti-corruption workshop in Vanuatu.
The workshop is an initiative project of the United Nations Development Fund and funded by the United Kingdom Government, in partnership with the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
Participants included officers from the Vanuatu Police Force, Officer of Public Prosecution, Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice & Community Affairs, Financial Investigation Unit, Ombudsman’s Office and the National Audit Office.
This initiative supports the Teieniwa Vision which unites the Pacific Island Countries in the fight against corruption.
The workshop aimed to strengthen anti-corruption efforts by empowering officials, communities, and civil society to build stronger policies and institutions to combat corruption
